I am a 55-year-old male, who was diagnosed at 14 with Friedreich’s Ataxia. This is a progressive neurological disorder, which eventually leaves the person with severe socioeconomic and medical problems. Many people, from most walks of life, believe they know best and want to stereotype people with Friedreich’s Ataxia and to tell them what they can and can’t do.
In telling this story about my recent ‘bucket-list’ trip, I may appear to come across as being angry; however, I will try my best to paint it in a more light-hearted way.
A ‘bucket-list’ trip is one of those special trips you make during your lifetime. It is something you have always wanted to do before your days come to an end. After my recent experience of planning a special trip away, in this event to Thailand, I may be able to offer some advice for those planning their final bucket trip.
